This page explains how Pak CA certifies an organization and what certified clients must do to keep their certificate.
1. Application
The client applies online with details of the organization, its sites, the number of employees and the scope of certification. Pak CA reviews the application to confirm that it has the competence to certify the activity and calculates the audit time.
2. Quotation and agreement
The client receives a quotation. On acceptance, a certification agreement is signed covering these rules, fees and the use of certificates and marks.
3. Stage 1 audit
The audit team reviews the management system documentation, the readiness of the organization and plans the Stage 2 audit.
4. Stage 2 audit
The audit team evaluates whether the management system is implemented and effective at the client's sites. Findings are reported as major or minor nonconformities or opportunities for improvement.
5. Corrective actions
The client submits corrections and corrective actions for every nonconformity. Major nonconformities must be closed, and verified by Pak CA, before certification.
6. Certification decision
A competent person who did not take part in the audit reviews the audit report and evidence and makes the certification decision.
7. Certificate
The certificate is issued with a unique number and QR code and is published on the online verification page. A certificate is normally valid for three years.
8. Surveillance and recertification
Surveillance audits take place at least once a year. Before the certificate expires, a recertification audit is carried out so that certification can continue without a gap.
